AnomalyWiki is an entertainment encyclopedia for strange stories that still leave a paper trail: cryptids, UFO cases, haunted places, lost-civilization theories, anomalous objects, and the official records people argue about. We write for curious readers first - wonder-first prose with attributed claims and the mainstream landing when one exists.
Who writes it
Entries are written and edited by Kevin Tailor, the pen name of AnomalyWiki's editor. AI tools help with research, drafting, and illustration; nothing is published until the editor has reviewed it, and every page lists the sources it rests on so you can check the work yourself.
How we work
Each entry follows a category schema (short answer, claims vs mainstream, timeline, sources, FAQ). We prefer primary documents, journalism, and academic work over viral retellings. When a subject is folklore, fiction, or unresolved, we say so. Letter “evidence grades” stay in the editorial tools; readers see sources and consensus instead.
Images
Illustrations marked “AI illustration for reference only” are generated for reference and are not photographs of real beings or events. Licensed and public-domain photos are credited on the page. See oureditorial policy for sourcing and AI disclosure rules.
