Kevin Tailor is the pen name of the editor behind AnomalyWiki. Every entry on the site - from the Mothman sightings around Point Pleasant to the Pentagon's UAP files - carries this byline, and the editor answers for what it says.
The beat is the strange story that still leaves a paper trail: a newspaper clipping from 1966, a declassified memo, an excavation report, a museum catalogue number. The aim is to tell those stories with the wonder intact, while being plain about which parts are documented, which are folklore, and where the mainstream explanation lands.
How entries are made
- Claims are tied to named sources - period reporting, government records, academic and museum work - and believer accounts are labeled as accounts, not facts.
- Each subject gets one page, with a short answer up top, a claims-versus-mainstream comparison, a dated timeline, and a source list.
- AI tools help with research, drafting, and illustration. Illustrations are labeled "AI illustration for reference only" on the page, and nothing goes live until the editor has reviewed it.
The full rules are in the editorial policy. Spotted an error or a dead source link? Send it through the contact page.
